I am an associate professor at the Center for Advanced Computer Studies (CACS), University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I am also the director of the Computational Geometry laboratory (CG lab) in CACS. My research interests lie at the boundary of geometry and broad engineering fields including Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Mobile and Wireless Networks, and Machine Learning. I graduated with a Ph.D. from Department of Computer Science , Stony Brook University in 2008 under the advisorship of Professor Xianfeng David Gu as a member of the Center for Visual Computing . I received Best paper award in CAD/Graphics in 2007, NSF CAREER Award in 2011, UL Lafayette Jack and Gladys Theall/BoRSF Professorship in 2013, and UL Lafayette Lockheed Martin Corporation/BoRSF Professor in 2016. I currently serve on the editorial board of Knowledge and Information Systems (KAIS).
